Barnes & Noble Book Fair to Support City Branch Libraries

The Monroe, Highland and Winton Branches will be holding a Bookfair at the Barnes & Noble store in Pittsford (3349 Monroe Ave.) on Friday, December 7, 2012 from 9 am to 10 pm.

Rochester Public Library Press Release:
Thinking of buying books, DVDs, music or children’s games or even a Nook for a holiday gift? Why not do it and contribute to a worthy cause? If you make your purchases at Barnes & Noble on December 7th and mention you’re there to support Monroe, Highland or Winton Branch at the checkout, a percentage of your purchase will be donated to the libraries! This percentage will be used to purchase new materials for each of the branches. There will be a full day of programming at the store to make your shopping trip even more fun— multiple story times in the morning for the little ones, a real Knight in Shining Armor, holiday crafts for all ages, and more.

If you can’t make it to the store on the 7th, you can still support Monroe, Highland and Winton Branches by purchasing online with Barnes & Noble December 7th to 12th. Just enter Bookfair ID 10898443 at checkout. The more sales that are made in the libraries’ name, the bigger percentage we will receive back from Barnes & Noble, so please consider purchasing something on our behalf. Every little bit helps!

ABC Streets Sign evolution

Today we have added yet another way to keep our neighbors informed as to happenings in the neighborhood. Note the small sign below our ABC Streets Neighborhood sign. When nothing special is going on you will see a sign that has our website address. Keep your eye on this spot over time and we will be using it to announce various activities within the neighborhood. Thanks Jim for evolving our sign and for all your hard work on the park in general.
