Beautiful summer weather brought out huge crowds to the Park Avenue Fest. The ABC Streets Neighborhood Association benefited from the hot days with a complete sell-out of bottled water (over 600 bottles). Also very popular, was our 2015 version Pint Glasses with the Rochester Skyline. If you didn’t get a chance to buy one, we will have them for sale at the Picnic on 8/30. Thanks to all the neighbors and friends who stopped by to make a donation or support our fantastic volunteers in the booth!! Photos Here.
On August 5th, National Night Out was celebrated all over Rochester. The ABC Streets NA decided this year to combine this event with our traditional ice cream social down at Morrison Park. Despite the threatening rain clouds about 25 neighbors showed up to meet with local fireman, police officers, elected officials and our bomb sniffing canine – Ram. The kids (and even some adults) had a great time climbing on the firetruck and running the lights and sirens in the police car as well learning about Ram’s role in neighborhood policing. Make your own sundaes made it all the more festive. You’ll see in the additional pictures that everyone got a ceremonial fire hat, Photos Here.
